More than 30 volunteers with Carrick Swan GAA Club have completed the Introduction to Coaching Gaelic Games course and 26 coaches have completed a safeguarding 1 course.

All adults getting involved with juvenile teams in any capacity this year must be Garda vetted and have relevant courses completed. Details are available on the Swan Club’s social media pages.

Some of the club’s juvenile teams return to training this week as the football championship starts.

The first two matches take place this Sunday, February 26. The U13D football team will play Fethard on The Green in Carrick at 10.30am while the U13A football team will play Ardfinnan in Ardfinnan at 12 noon.

Carrick Swan Club’s juvenile lotto jackpot is €3,250 this week. Seven players matched three numbers last week and won €30 each. Numbers drawn were 10,11, 21, 27.

Meanwhile, club membership fees can be paid online or paid in cash to any club committee member.

Finally, the Swan Club extends condolences to the Sullivan family of Treacy Park/America on their recent  bereavement.
