Tipperary jockey Rachael Blackmore warmed up for her ride on Ain't That a Shame in Saturday's Randox Aintree Grand National by winning the Close Brothers Red Rum Handicap Chase on Dancing On My Own at Aintree this afternoon.

The 15/2 winner is trained by Henry de Bromhead at Knockeen, county Waterford.

Shortly after the race, the Killenaule woman told ITV Racing "It's fantastic. He ran a super race in this race year to finish second.

"It's such a special place to come back to and it's great to get one on the board".

Douglas Talking (9/2) was second and The Last Day (16/1) was third.

Ain't That A Shame, a 20/1 chance for the Grand National, races in the Robcour colours and is owned by Clonmel businessman Brian Acheson and his family.

When asked about the horse's prospects in Saturday's big race, Rachael Blackmore said "He has a nice weight and ticks a lot of boxes going into the race.

"We'll see what happens".

Two years ago she became the first woman to ride the winner of the Aintree Grand National on board Minella Times.
