The Killurney Klassic, a cycle fundraiser in aid of Killurney National School, takes place next Sunday, May 5.

The event is organised by Slievenamon Cycling Club, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year. The inaugural club meeting was held in Killurney and the club is delighted to return and support the local school a decade later.

There are two distances for the event - 50 kilometres for leisure cyclists and 100 kilometres for more experienced cyclists.

The cycle starts from Killurney school (Eircode E91 XN84) and registration is from 8am or online at Eventbrite.ieKillurneyKlassicCycle.

The 100k cycle starts at 9am and the 50k cycle starts at 9.30am. The entry is €30.

There will be food stops on the route and refreshments will be served at the finish line.

The club is very grateful to its sponsors for their continued support.

The sponsors are Laharts Skoda Clonmel, Cycologist Cycling Store Clonmel and Clonmel Oil.

All details are available on the Slievenamon Cycling Club Facebook page.
