Clerihan 1 – 4 Cullen Lattin A
The West Tipperary outfit travelled to Clerihan on Sunday morning and left after a comfortable three goal victory to advance in the Tipperary Cup.
Cullen Lattin opened the scoring after ten minutes when Shane Heffernan got on the end of some good work, before Shane Pender doubled the lead ten minutes later.
The visitors held this lead to the break and were quickest off the mark in the second period as Heffernan got his second three minutes after the restart. Barry O’Dwyer got a fourth for Cullen Lattin after 66 minutes while a quickly taken free kick by Alan Campbell 20 minutes from time gave Clerihan a consolation score.
Donohill & District 5 – 0 Cullen Lattin B
Donohill had this game won before Cullen’s reserves barely knew the game had begun when they opened the scoring after less than a minute through Brian Fox, and then extended it to two goals less than two minutes later. Two became three on the quarter hour when Jerry O’Neill was on the end of a well worked passing movement, and five minutes later, Donohill’s Joe Shanahan made it four goals to nil.
Completely shell shocked, Cullen put up very little resistance and Fox finally completed his hat-trick in the 68th minute to complete the rout.
