Carrick AC's Miriam Daly won gold in the Girls U-18 400m hurdles at the All-Ireland Juvenile Track & Field Championships.
Athletes from Carrick-on-Suir AC excelled in the All-Ireland Juvenile Track & Field Championships held in Tullamore on Sunday winning two gold and one bronze medals.
Kelly Bester won her heat in the Girls U-16 200m went on to win the final with a personal best run of 25.67 seconds.
Miriam Daly won another national title in the Girls U-18 400m hurdles with a nicely controlled run. This victory sets her up for this weekend’s Senior Track & Field Championship, which will be recorded live on TV this Sunday, July 29.
Rose Ann Fitzgerald got back to top form with a battling run to win bronze in the U-18 Girls 200m.
Carrick AC athletes also brought home medals from the first two days of the Juvenile All-Ireland Championships on the weekend of July 14 and 15.
Emmett O’Neill won silver in the U-14 discus, Jade Barry won bronze in the U-13 Javelin and Kelly Bester was awarded bronze in the U-16 100m.

Best wishes to Jake Vermeer who has struggled with an injury over the last few weeks and couldn’t showcase his true form in the championships.
