Ladies Annual General Meeting


Outgoing Lady Captain Niamh Chadwick in her address to the members extended congratulations and best wishes to Jeff Leo and his new bride Winnie Anne who tied the knot recently in New York.


Lady Captain Niamh went on to say, No Year as Lady Captain can be called a success without good people by your side and I would like to take this opportunity to thank some of them who have helped me throughout the year.


We kicked started the year with our Drive-in last March. I want to thank Captain Brian Slattery for being a great Captain and ally. His easy temperament has made my year more enjoyable. I want to thank his Men’s Committee and members for their support for our open days and scrambles throughout the year.


March also saw our quiz fundraiser back after a two year absence, and I’d like to thank Flan McGlinchey, Margaret Ryan and Marie and all who helped on the night.


Niamh said she wish to extend her thanks to the team captains of the inter club matches, Intermediate Captain Isobel Hayes with myself.


The Minor Cup; President Kathleen O’Neill and Lady Vice-Captain Jacinta Coman & the Challenge Cup Kay Crosse & Pauline Tracey.


Tipperary Hospice is generously supported by the club; it is thanks to Pauline Tracey and the Tuesday morning ladies for having a generous donation every year.


Thanks to Jeff Leo for his continued support throughout the year and for giving us the course for our two days to Play in Pink and for our annual open day. Thanks to Richard Nolan in the venue and his staff who are always been so accommodating.
No club she said can be as successful as we are without the hard work and dedicated committee, Secretary Judy Hayes, Treasurer Helena Ryan.

Competition Secretary Caroline O’Dwyer, Juvenile Conveyer Marie Graves, Handicap secretary Frances Boyle, Pro Jenny Lawrence, Vice Captain Jacinta Coman, Anne Grace and Teresa Canny.


Niamh said she would like to take this opportunity to especially thank our two committee members who are retiring from the committee, President Kathleen O’Neill & PRO Jenny Lawrence; both ladies have made a huge contribution to our committee.
She also welcomed Sheena Ryan and Mary O’Donnell to the committee.


Niamh also thanked Kathleen for being an outstanding President for the last two years and welcome Paddy Fitzgerald as president for the next two years. She also thanked all those who helped out throughout the year with our Pink days and open day, be it decorations, meeting and greeting, selling tickets, registering visitors etc. You all can be very proud of yourselves for being one of the best clubs for our donation to breast cancer research and nearly reaching €12,000 in 2022.


She thanked all our sponsors on the Thursday evening scrambles, Coolmore, Flan & Joe McGlinchey, O’Dwyer Steel & O’Connor Julian Veterinarian.


Thanks to our open day Sponsor Sandra Hennessy of Be-Dynamic marketing consultants. She thanked Michelle and Margaret in the office, Marian and her team, Rob, Mary and newcomer Colin and also our Green keeper Brian Webster and his team.


She thanked Anne Grace for believing in her and asking he to be her Vice Captain. Its been an honour and a privilege serving all of you she said, you have always been so welcoming to me and I have found so many friends for life, she thank Frances Boyle for encouraging her to join Dundrum in 2017 and Mary Hickey for her hard work and encouragement with the ‘get into golf’ She congratulated all the winners in our weekly competitions and a special congratulations to Frances Boyle for being our Golfer of the Year for 2022.


She thanked Jacinta Coman for agreeing to be my vice captain and been by my side this past year especially the last few months. She wished her well in her new role and said she will be a natural. Niamh also welcome her vice-captain Mary O’Donnell and wished her well in the future
