Psychotherapist and well-known author, Stella O’Malley, will give a talk in Templemore Library on Thursday 18th Oct at 7.30 p.m. as part of the on-going Healthy Ireland initiative being delivered throughout public libraries in Ireland.
Author of two seminal works, ‘Bully-proof Kids’ and ‘Cotton Wool Kids’, Stella is an empowering public speaker much of whose work involves counselling and teaching parents and young people.
She has over ten years experience as a mental health professional. Forging a career in the Irish media, Stella writes extensively about mental health issues for many newspapers, Parenting magazine and many other media outlets. Though born in Dublin, she currently lives in Birr, County Offaly with her husband and two children.
She frequently appears on national and local media to discuss a broad range of topics such as mental well-being, mindfulness, conflict resolution in the workplace, communication skills, parenting and childhood issues in Ireland today.
