Tipperary arts centre announces exciting line-up of country music acts for May

Country music titans Declan Nerney and Robert Mizzell are set to grace The Source Arts Centre stage this May.

First up we are delighted to welcome Robert Mizzell to The Source.

Having made Ireland his home for over 25 years, Robert Mizzell served his apprenticeship in Country Music since he first arrived here.

The father and husband is now one of the top Country Music Artists in Ireland, enjoying huge success all around the country. His warm character and genuine personality does not fail to earn him a host of new fans.

Anyone who has ever been to one of his shows will agree that it is two hours of non-stop entertainment and that Robert Mizzell definitely puts his heart and soul into every song proving why he is one of Ireland’s top country music recording artists!

The show takes place at 8pm on Friday, May 8, with tickets costing €30.

Then, on Saturday, May 16, the "Hooley" comes to town with Declan Nerney and his “Forever More Tour.”

Get ready for unforgettable nights of music, laughter, and memories as Declan is joined by two of Ireland’s finest stars in Paddy O'Brien and Effie Neill.

Irish country music icon Declan Nerney has been inducted into the Irish Country Music Hall of Fame, cementing his status as a beloved national treasure.

The honour was bestowed during the Late Late Country Music Special, where Nerney received his award to the delight of fans and fellow artists alike.

Over more than four decades, Nerney has crafted a catalogue brimming with signature songs that resonate across generations, “Stop the World (and Let Me Off)”, “Anna from Fermanagh”, “Three Way Love Affair”, and others, all co-written with collaborator Henry McMahon.

A dedicated performer and storyteller, Nerney has remained ever-present in the Irish country music scene.

He often returns to headline historic venues and festivals, such as the “Marquee in Drumlish,” which he celebrates as “one of the top ten events in Ireland.”

Join Declan and his fantastic band with special guests Effie and Paddy O Brien for a great night of music and fun.

The show takes place on Saturday, May 16, at 8pm, with tickets costing €30.
