Pat announced that the building had been sold, and when it reopens, will function as a plumbing supply shop.
He spoke of how he felt that in his 29 years in business, he hopes he has brought a great service to the people in the locality, stating that he could not thank them enough for their custom over this time.
Pat opened the original shop in 1996, before relocating to the current building in 2005.
He stated that although he had had some tougher years in business, overall it was fantastic, and that support from many miles away was appreciated.
He spoke of how he was as happy as one could be with how business was during his time, but that he will greatly miss his work and meeting customers daily.
Pat hopes to finish on October 31, but added that he would remain open until the following day if need be.
He said that he is looking forward to putting his feet up in his retirement, and that he has some vintage cars that he is excited to have the time to restore them.
