Proposal to close Tipperary level crossing over five weekends this year due to rail works

Tipperary level crossing to close for several days this year due to rail line works

Tipperary County Council has given notice of its intention to make an order to close the L-4110 at XC164 Emly level crossing on five weekends over the next 10 months to facilitate improvement to the rail line between Thurles and Limerick Junction.

Closure 1: 

The level crossing will close between 5am on Saturday, March 28 and 11.59pm on Sunday 29 March. 

Closure 2:

5am on Saturday, 15 August to 23:59hrs on Sunday, 16 August.

Closure 3:

5am on Saturday, 12 September to 23:59hrs on Sunday, 13 September.

Closure 4:

5am on Saturday, 3 October to 23:59hrs on Sunday, 4 October.

Closure 5:

5am on Saturday, 5 December to 23:59hrs on Sunday, 6 December.

Objections to the proposed closure can be submitted to Road Closures, Roads & Transportation, Tipperary County Council Civic Offices, Limerick Road, Nenagh not later than 12 noon on Thursday, March 12 or be email to roadclosures@tipperarycoco.ie
