Sunny spells predicted in Irish weather forecast as Storm Isha leaves trail of destruction

235,000 premises are without power this Monday morning after Storm Isha

A mix of sunny spells and showers are expected on Monday in very blustery conditions with a yellow wind warning in place for parts of West and Northwest.

Wind will finally ease later in the evening but Tuesday night will see strong gusts again, according to forecaster Alan O'Reilly. 

He added: "Expect a lot of debris on roads with branches and the odd trampoline so travel with care this morning. 235,000 premises are without power this Monday morning."
