Ukrainians are helping to clear footpaths in Tipperary during the cold snap.

Footpaths and roads across the county remain in treacherous condition with the cold spell impacting schools and services all week.

A Status Yellow snow and ice warning will remain in effect until Friday once the Status Orange warning expires at on Thursday afternoon. 

Cllr Andy Moloney said: "Our Ukrainian friends in Tidy Towns out clearing the paths in Cahir on Wednesday working hand in hand with local council staff who assisted with salt once path was cleared."
