Monday: It looks set to be cold and breezy on Monday with showers becoming fairly widespread over the country, some turning wintry as the day progresses.
Highest temperatures of 4 to 7 degrees in fresh easterly winds.
Monday night: A mix of clear spells and scattered showers on Monday night, the showers most frequent in the east. Some of the showers will be of hail and sleet.
Lowest temperatures of -1 to +4 degrees with some frost and ice forming in areas sheltered from the moderate easterly breeze.

Tuesday: It is expected to be mostly cloudy on Tuesday with scattered patches of light rain and drizzle. More persistent rain may move in to affect southern and southwestern coastal areas during the afternoon.
Maximum temperatures of 4 to 7 degrees in moderate to fresh east to southeast winds.
On Tuesday night, outbreaks of rain are expected to spread across many areas but it may hold dry in the northeast of the country. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 5 degrees generally but a few degrees milder along the south coast. There'll be a moderate to fresh and gusty southeast breeze.
Wednesday: Breezy and mostly cloudy on Wednesday with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle with the chance of some wintry falls over the hills.

Highest temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees, coldest across northern counties with a fresh southeast breeze. A cold night on Wednesday night but the extensive cloud cover should diminish the risk of any significant frost.
Lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees in moderate southeast winds.
Thursday: It looks set to be cloudy and breezy on Thursday with outbreaks of rain in the south and west with drier weather likely further north and east.
Another rather cold day with highest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees with fresh and gusty southeast winds.
Lots of questions about possible cold Easterly around 18th of the month but huge uncertainty at moment.
Some models bring cold to Ireland while others keep it just East of Ireland.
Risk is low at present of significant cold but still a risk.
