Carrick-on-Suir theatre fans will have an opportunity to see a re-run of this year’s Clancy Brothers Festival drama - The Tinker’s Wedding - at Brewery Lane Theatre at 8pm on Friday and Saturday, September 1 and 2.

JM Synge’s two-act play was performed to packed houses at Brewery Lane at lunctimes during the town's annual music and arts festival over the June Bank Holiday Weekend.

Due to popular demand, Brewery Lane Drama Group has decided to stage two more performances of the play at the theatre on September 1 and 2;

The performance of the Tinker’s Wedding will be followed by a variety concert on both nights.
Barry Comerford directs the play and the cast includes Kate de Barra and Kyle Walsh as the tinker couple who persuade the local priest to marry them for the reduced price.

Barry Comerford steps into the shoes of Dennis Barry, who played the priest in the original Clancy Festival performances and Paula O'Dwyer reprises her role the groom’s mother.
