CLÁR Funding Tipperary

Rural communities in Tipperary are being encouraged to apply for the CLÁR Programme

Rural communities across Tipperary are being encouraged to get their applications in for the CLÁR Funding programme, with applications newly reopened.

The aim of the CLÁR Programme is to build resilience in rural communities, with an increased amount of €11million now being made available as part of the funding scheme.

Under the initiative, funding in Tipperary will be made across three measures; development of community facilities and amenities, support for community transport, and tailored funding for our offshore island communities.

In a move to further adapt to the needs of communities, the level of funding for community facilities and amenities has increased from €50,000 to €65,000, with a new option this year for Local Authorities to apply for funding of up to €100,000 for two larger
scale projects.

North Tipperary TD Michael Lowry has welcomed the reopening of applications under the CLÁR Programme, and encouraged community groups to get their applications in.
