Tuesday, April 22 marked the second day of major construction work on the L-6301-2 Ballinard to Killenaule road.
Work began on April 21 and will continue well into the summer.
The road will be closed with no public access whatsoever daily 7am to 7pm.
It's facilitate the laying of new water line to eradicate leakage and water quality issues.
Traffic travelling from Coolbawn to Rathkenny Junction will be diverted via the R689 at Coolbawn Cross and turn at Crosscannon onto The New Line L-2301 and turn right in Drangan Village onto the L-2303.
And vice versa for traffic travelling from Rathkenny Junction to Coolbawn Cross.
The work is expected to be complete by Saturday, June 28.
