A Tipperary teenager has been asked to address all 40 councillors who make up Tipperary County Council, at council chambers on June 9.
Cara Darmody has just recently returned home to Ardfinnan after completing a historic 50-hour protest outside Leinster House last week.
The teenager posted on social media this morning, sharing the news of her invite to speak to Tipperary councillors in the coming weeks.

"I'm deeply honoured & humbled to announce that I've been invited to address the 40 Councillors of Tipperary County Council on Monday June 9, about the Children Disability crisis in both Co. Tipperary and nationally.
"I'm so looking forward to addressing Cathaoirleach Cllr. Declan Burgess and our incredible Councillors to inspire them to do even more to help the most vulnerable in our society!!"
"I might even wear my proud Tipperary jersey for the occasion!!!" said Cara.
