A group in Tipperary is holding a tennis challenge for clubs across the county to join, and has already raised over €3,000 for a charity in Tipperary thanks to the challenge.
The Golden Vale Tennis Challenge (GVTC) is a three-month, ladder-based tennis competition for clubs in South Tipperary and the surrounding regions of North Cork and East Limerick including Ballypatrick, Castleview, Emly, Hillview, Hospital, Kilfeacle , Lattin, Larkspur, Mitchelstown, New Inn, Rosanna and Tipperary County.
The Golden Vale Tennis Challenge 2026 opened for entries at midday on Saturday 13 December, and the first challenges can be made from midday (12pm) on 1 January 2026.

The event has already raised over €3,600 in support of Circle of Friend. Entry for the challenge closes on 7 January 2026, and full details can be found here.
