A drama group in Tipperary has announced that it will stage one of Ireland's most well-known plays.
Clogheen Drama Group has announced that its 2026 production will be the powerful and enduring Irish classic The Field by John B Keane.
The production will take place from Thursday 19 March to Saturday 21 March, with performances beginning at 8pm each evening in St Paul’s Community Hall, Clogheen.

The Field tells the story of the hardened Irish farmer "Bull" McCabe and his love for the land he rents.
Set in rural Ireland, the play explores themes of ownership, land, legacy, pride, and identity.
Rehearsals are currently well underway, with the guidance of director by Justin Irwin.
