WATCH: 'The impact will be felt here for many many years' - Mayor of Clonmel

The Mayor of Clonmel has expressed his "deepest sympathies" to the families of the four deceased young people who died in a collision yesterday evening (August 25). 

Cllr Richie Molloy spoke to Tipperary Live about the "sense of numbness" in the town as news of the tragedy filtered through the town this morning. 
 
Speaking as a parent of teenagers, he said he's "very conscious of how excited people are when they get their results" and that the impact of the tragedy will "be felt here for many many years to come". 

He vowed the people of Clonmel are behind the families during this difficult time.
