The Carrick-on-Suir stage is set for the Clancy Brothers Festival of Music and Art this June bank holiday weekend.
An opening concert at Brewery Lane Theatre on Wednesday night kicked off the lively programme of music, drama, art and family fun.
Carrick-on-Suir's Brian White says the Clancy Brothers Festival will showcase everything that is good about the town. "If you are in to traditional Irish music and if you love the folk music of the Clancy brothers, this is part of their legacy that the town wants to celebrate. We want to remember the Clancy brothers, we want to celebrate with their family and we really want to have a fun-filled weekend. The weather is going to be good and the only place to be this weekend is Carrick-on-Suir," Brian tells The Nationalist.
