Kathleen McCarthy, mother of Darragh McCarthy, was seen proudly wearing the blue and gold at her workplace in Walshe's Stationery, Kenyon St Nenagh.

She is congratulated daily by well wishers, including friends, Kathleen Madden and Breda Fitzgibbon, who are pictured with her above.

The above photo was taken following Darragh's incredible performance against Cork in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final, which saw him score 1-13, including a goal from a penalty in the second half.

Darragh's performance in the final saw him win the GAA.ie Hurler of the Week award.

16,983 people on Instagram voted for the prolific Tipperary forward, ahead of his team mates Ronan Maher, John McGrath and Willie Connors.
