'Can I keep it?' - Pop star Olivia Rodrigo thanks teen fan for lifelike painting at Dublin show

Pop star Olivia Rodrigo has thanked a teenage fan after he gifted her a lifelike portrait at her Dublin show last night (May 1).

The US singing sensation was handed the painting from the front row of the 3 Arena on the second night of the Guts tour in the capital city.

Speaking to the talented fan, Rodrigo said, "Can I show everyone? That's incredible. OMG. Look at that, you guys, that's really good! Sean Davis, is that your name? Thank you Mr Sean Davis!

"Can I keep it? Oh, thank you. How old are you, Sean? Fourteen? He's fourteen and he's making this! That's insane! Thank you so much, thank you so much for coming!"

Rodrigo then took the painting and placed it at the back of the stage "for safe keeping".

She continued: "Fourteen and he's making that. Can you believe it? Oh my god, there's so much talent in here."

A video of the interaction was posted on X (formerly Twitter) by Oliva Rodrigo Daily.

Rodrigo also came to the attention of Irish social media due to the t-shirt she wore for the finale of her first Dublin show on April 30.

The singer appeared on stage in a shirt which read 'Every guy I like is Gaelic', which plays on the lyric 'Every guy I like is gay' from her song, Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl.

The concerts have so far received rave reviews from critics, with the Irish Examiner giving it a five star rating and the Irish Times comparing Rodrigo to pop superstar Taylor Swift.
