Tipperary cinema is set to reopen in time for summer after an extended closure

The Tipperary Excel Centre in Tipperary town has announced that cinema services are hopefully set to resume later this month after being closed for almost a full year. New equipment was being tested over the weekend and provided this produces satisfactory results, the cinema is expected to reopen on June 6th.

As a “Thank You” to the public for their support with fundraising all tickets for June will be priced at €5.

Elaine Fitzpatrick, Chairperson of the Board of the Excel Centre, has said that she hopes the June Cinema deal will be well supported and adds that fundraising continues as there are plans to replace the boiler and other heating related equipment.

The Excel Centre team have asked that the public watch for further updates on screening times on social media and their website.
