The Summer Festival started in Cahir Castle last Friday with a lecture by Prime Time broadcaster and historian David McCullough pictured with PJ O’Meara of Cahir Social & Historical Society.
This weekend Shake-speare will return to Cahir Castle once again with ‘Will's Women’. Chattyboo Productions (Cork) will bring a modern, entertaining and accessible selection of characters and scenes from some of Shakespeare’s great-est plays to our magnificent Great Hall.
This is a show with a difference, the difference being that you, the audience, get to choose which of the bard’s works you would like to know more about and which scenes and sonnets you would like the three actors to perform.
We can guarantee you will laugh and you might possibly cry as we take you through a dizzying amount of tragedy, history and comedy not to mention some sonnets, songs and a few surprises. This is Shakespeare’s work as you have never seen it before. Anyone who enjoyed last year's ‘Shakespeare Season at the Castle’ will love this production.
