Lisa Cohalan PMU took home an award from the Nails Brows Lashes Awards

A Tipperary businesswoman has taken home a national award from a top beauty awards ceremony.

Lisa Cohalan from Cappawhite runs Lisa Cohalan PMU (Permanent Makeup) was awarded the Semi Permanent Makeup Specialist category at the recent Nails Brows Lashes (NBL) Awards.

Ms Cohalan said it was an honour to win the award, and something that she's incredibly grateful for.

"I am absolutely delighted to win the title of Semi-Permanent Makeup Specialist of the Year 2025. It is an incredible honor, and I am truly grateful. I have been fortunate enough to secure this title almost every year, and each time, it feels just as special.

"It is a testament to the dedication, passion, and hard work that goes into my craft every single day," Ms Cohalan said.

"This award is not just a personal achievement but a reflection of the trust my clients place in me and the continuous support of my colleagues, friends, and family. To everyone who has been part of this journey—thank you! Your encouragement and belief in my work inspire me to keep pushing the boundaries of excellence in this industry," the Cappawhite woman added.

A spokesperson for the NBL Awards 2025 said: “We are delighted to bring these awards back for another year. These Awards are an excellent opportunity to showcase those who have shown great commitment, professionalism, creativity and care for the client."

The aim of the  NBL Awards is to recognise the very best salons and professionals in the Irish Beauty Industry salons that provide bespoke experiences to their clients, following the latest trends and techniques.
