'A big boost to the local social scene in the town of Cahir'

Irwin's pub, which dates back to 1890, has officially reopened in Cahir.

Owner Kieran Tuohy and the team reopened the iconic bar on the Square in Cahir this Friday night.

Cllr John O'Heney posted a picture behind the bar and said: "Went back to my roots and pulled a pint!

"Best wishes to an old family friend, Kieran Tuohy, and all the team at Irwin's Pub in Cahir as they get set to reopen the historic pub in the Square in Cahir!

"The place is looking terrific and it will be a big boost to the local social scene in the town.
