The Tipperary Food Producers triumphed at this year’s Blas na hÉireann Awards, demonstrating the exceptional quality of food from Tipperary and celebrating extensive successes across multiple categories. Held in the picturesque town of Dingle, the event gathered producers from all over Ireland, aiming to celebrate and acknowledge the finest foods of the nation.

Tipperary producers were awarded a stunning collection of Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals, enhancing their well-deserved reputation for excellence and innovation.

At the forefront of this success was Cashel Farmhouse Cheesemakers, who were highly distinguished with a Gold for their Organic Bio – Cashel Blue. They were also honoured with special recognitions as the Best in Tipperary, Best Artisan Producer, and Best in Munster.

Their achievements set a high standard for the industry.

Among the notable winners:

  • James Whelan Butchers secured Gold with their Boneless
  • Heritage Cured Ham for the Bacon – Smoked category, alongside two additional Gold awards for their Homecured Hand Spiced Beef and Homemade Stuffing.
  • Crossogue Preserves was honoured with Gold for their Rhubarb & Ginger Spread.
  • Rívesci Ltd. celebrated their Gold win with the Cashew Chilli Crush.
  • Nutshed achieved Gold for their Very Crunchy Peanut Butter.

Silver medals were awarded to products such as Cashel Blue Cheese from Cashel Farmhouse Cheesemakers, various cheeses from Cooleeney Cheese, and O'Donnells Mature Cheese and Red Onion Flavour Crisps. Meanwhile, Bronze medals recognised innovative products like Hickeys Jam Swiss Roll from Hickeys Bakery and The 80 Apple Brandy from The Apple Farm.

Chairman of the Tipperary Food Producers, Pat Whelan, expressed immense pride in the collective achievements and the spirit of community that defines their community.
