Successful Macra na Feirme fundraiser for The Queen of the Castle festival

Rathkeevin Macra Na Feirme held a fundraiser for their Queen of The Castle Festival that took place in Irwin’s in Cahir. With appearances from TJ Ryan, Mark Landers, Liam Sheedy and Bubbles O’Dwyer along with special guest Brendan Cummins on the panel, it was certainly a star-studded All-Ireland Final preview night.

A great evening was had with the preview being shown on all TV screens on site and the beer garden too. This is a fundraiser for the Queen of The Castle Festival in association with Rathkeevin Macra Na Feirme who are grateful to Kieran Touhy of Irwin’s for the support.

The Festival takes place on the August Bank Holiday in Cahir with a free family fun day on the Sunday and plenty to entertain with local Bands plus The Replacement’s and Loose Cannons. Side shows and kids races and the very popular Comhairle na nog Color Run. The committee say thank you to Tipperary County Council for the grant aid once again this year and to the two main sponsors Daltons Haulage and Statkraft for supporting the festival for a second year. 

The Coronation Banquet takes place in Cahir House Hotel on Sunday evening of August 3, 2025 with doors opening at 6.30pm. A Four Course Meal is served at 7pm sharp. Tickets for the Banquet are €65 and must be rebooked with the committee. Just message them to reserve a seat.

The 2025 Queen of the Castle will be announced at midnight, so don’t miss out. Music on the night is by Bentley Boys Band followed by DJ Steve McGrath until late. Tickets for the Afters music are only €20. These can be purchased on our website www.queenofthecastle
