Carrick-on-Suir direct provision centre's young residents enjoyed range of Easter activities

Pictured above are a group of young people living at Carrick-on-Suir’s Bridgewater House Direct Provision Centre who attended a health information talk over the Easter holidays.

The information talk was hosted by Carrick-on-Suir pharmacist Dr Sabine Eggers and organised by the Friends of Bridgewater House Committee.

Goodie bags were presented to the participants after the event. Dr Eggers is pictured back row third from right beside Bridgewater House Community Liaison Officer Martina Walsh and Marie Fitzpatrick of Friends of Bridgewater House Committee.

The talk was one of a range of activities the Friends of Bridgewater House Committee volunteers organised for children and teens living at Bridgewater House during the Easter holiday period.

A trip to the swimming pool, an arts and crafts class, Easter scavenger hunt and a disco that included a visit from the Easter bunny and Easter egg gifts were among the other fun events hosted for the Centre’s young residents.
