Members of Carrick-on-Suir Camera Club with the Pat Power Perpetual Trophy
Carrick-on-Suir Camera Club received the Pat Power Perpetual Trophy for winning the 10th annual Suir Valley Photographic Challenge in the Nano Nagle Community Resource Centre in Carrick-on-Suir.
The Carrick photography club beat Clonmel Camera Club by the tiny margin of a half point to win the trophy.
Clonmel CC won both of the Treacy Fuels & Blueway Bike Hire trophies in the individual section of the competition that took place on December 1.
Deise and Dungarvan Camera Clubs were the other competing clubs in the contest.
The awards were presented by Carrick Camera Club Chairperson Chrissie Daly who thanked the Suir Valley Photographic Challenge’s two judges Ned Mahon AIPF, ARPS, EFIAP/Platinum and Andy Magan, AIPF, ARPS, EFIAP/B from Kilkenny Photographic Society.
“They both did a fantastic job and we all really appreciated the feedback on the images,” she said.

Best Printed Images Certificate awards: Deise CC John Murphy, Dungarvan CC John Pelham; Carrick CC. Paddy Tubbritt, Clonmel CC. Sinclair Adair.
Best Projected Image Certificate awards:
Deise CC: Non-Advanced Noreen O’Brien, Advanced Mairéad Forrestal; Dungarvan CC: Non-Advanced - Irish Graham, Advanced Rosalind- Ledingham; Carrick CC: Non-Advanced -Sinead Barry, Advanced - Chrissie Daly.
Clonmel CC: Non-Advanced - Bernadette Crawford, Advanced -Sinclair Adair.

Meanwhile, at Carrick Camera Club’s Christmas night out, the club’s Photo of the Year award was presented to Mary Kinsella. Bridget Littlewood received the Photographer of the Year award. Chrissie Daly and Harry Littlewood received second and third place awards respectively.
