Two worthy causes receive over €8,400 proceeds of Carrick-on-Suir charity sale

Two worthy causes have received a funding boost of over €8,400 from the proceeds of a pre-Christmas sale and raffle in Carrick-on-Suir.

Marion Landers the organiser of the annual fundraising sale of Christmas hampers, wreaths, table decorations and baked goods presented two cheques of €4,217 each to representatives of Carrick-on-Suir Meals Assistance Services and homeless charity, the Samaritans covering Waterford and the South East on January 23.

Both organisations were very grateful for the generous donation.

The hugely successful Christmas sale and raffle took place on Carrick’s Main Street on December 20.

Marion Landers thanks all who supported the Christmas sale in so many ways including buying and selling raffle tickets and making and donating all the goods for the sale.

“Thanks for the generous cash donations handed in on the day towards the two worthy causes and to all who volunteer their time to many people in our area.”
