Blooms of Kilcash workshop participants show off the gorgeous Christmas wreaths they created at Ormond Castle.
Beautiful Christmas wreaths were crafted at the Blooms of Kilcash Christmas wreath making workshop at Ormond Castle in Carrick-on-Suir.
The Tudor Artisan Hub initiative on December 8 was designed to blend local history with contemporary artistry.
The morning of wreath making began with a heritage talk by Ormond Castle Head Guide Paul Hearne.
Following this historical journey, participants worked under the expert guidance of Lady Iveagh Flower Farm owner Michelle Ryan and assisted by Nicola Power.
Workshop attendees crafted bespoke dried flower wreaths using natural materials grown sustainably on Michelle’s farm near Kilcash Castle.
Each workshop participant received a €10 Love Tipperary gift voucher, funded by Tipperary County Council as part of the Shop Local Christmas campaign.
The Tudor Artisan Hub extends its gratitude to the Office of Public Works (OPW) and the team at Ormond Castle for facilitating this event.
This successful collaboration highlights the Hub’s ongoing mission of collaborating with creative groups within the Cultural Quarter, Carrick-on-Suir while showcasing Makers from the Tudor Artisan Hub Arts Collective.
The local community and visitors can expect more cultural experiences spearheaded by the Tudor Artisan Hub in 2026.
