Carrick-on-Suir Fire Brigade members to wash cars to raise money for Ryan O'Dwyer Fund

Carrick-on-Suir Fire Brigade will run a charity car wash in aid of the Ryan O’Dwyer Road to Recovery Fund this Saturday, November 26 from 12noon to 3pm.

Hold off on washing your car and instead drop into Carrick-on-Suir Fire Station to have it washed and donate to this very worthy cause. Local members of the National Ambulance Service and gardaí will be assisting fire fighters with the car washing.

Ryan O’Dwyer from Ballyrichard, Carrick suffered horrific injuries in a road accident on the N24 at Ballydine, Kilsheelan in July.  He is paraylsed from the chest down and is currently a patient at Cork University Hospital.

The Ryan O’Dwyer Road to Recovery GoFundMe campaign has been set up  to assist Ryan and his family with the medical and other costs associated with his severe injuries.

The fundraising car wash coincides with two other big fundraisers for the cause.

A Rod-7-a-Side soccer tournament kicks-off at Rathgormack astro-turf pitch  at 9.30am on Saturday.

It will be followed by a benefit night featuring a monster raffle and auction  in the Carraig Hotel at 8pm that night.

Tickets for the benefit night cost €10 and will be available at the door.
