Tipperary special needs school prepares for exciting two-day fundraiser

Scoil Chormaic will host the two day fundraising extravaganza

A Tipperary school is holding a major fundraiser to raise some badly-needed money in order to upgrade their school buses.

Scoil Chormaic in Cashel is hoping to upgrade their current fleet of school buses so that their students can reach their full potential on school outings.

The current school buses are used for transporting Scoil Chormaic's students to swimming, horse riding, educational courses, sports, choir events, and sensory trips—all of which enrich their learning and development, the Cashel school says.

The school have now oraganised two fundraising events to take place in the coming months to raise the money for the new buses.

The first event is called Move for Our Buses and takes place June 13.

The school say that the event will be "a fun-filled movement and dance event at our school, where students, families, and staff can join in and help raise funds through movement of all kinds!"

The second event takes place the following day, on June 14, and is called Bop for Our Buses.

The event takes place at Cashel Rugby Club and is a "12-hour Danceathon featuring Irish dancing, hip-hop, musical theatre, line dancing, set dancing, and more! Whether you want to try a new style or show off your moves, this event is for everyone!"
