Cashel's Dr. O'Hurley Pipe Band held its Annual Meeting on Thursday night.
There was a large attendance and the meeting was vibrant.
Sadly for personal reasons our Chairman John Moloney decided to resign his post. John worked diligently for the band for many years and will be missed. We wish him luck in all his endeavours in the future and thank him for all his services.
The officers elected are: Chairman Nicky Harding, Vice Chair Christine McGrath, Treasurer John McCarthy, Secretary Larry Flynn, Assistant Secretary Liz Harding, Child Protection Mick Fenten.
The Chairman commended the band on its successes in competition this year and great credit is to all our very young pipers and drummers.
The band are starting tuition classes for piping and drumming soon, so anyone wishing to learn to play either should ring Larry on 087 4180836 or ask any band member. There are no restrictions on age groups or gender and expert tuition is guaranteed.
Also if there are any pipers or drummers out there wishing to join please contact us. Hope to see you soon.
