Ye Vagabonds are among the headline acts for the When Next We Meet music fetival in Clonmel in June
Get ready for a weekend of incredible music as When Next We Meet returns to the stunning grounds of Raheen House in Clonmel this June bank holiday weekend.
Now in its third year, this intimate festival has steadily carved out a niche as a standout event on the Irish music festival calendar since its debut in 2022.
Renowned for its cosy atmosphere and impeccable curation, When Next We Meet is preparing to deliver its most unforgettable experience yet.
This year, festival organisers have reimagined the festival grounds, expanding capacity while retaining the cherished intimacy that sets When Next We Meet apart.
AMBIANCE
Despite the increased capacity, the festival promises to maintain its snug and welcoming ambiance, ensuring a meaningful connections and memorable experiences for music fans both near and far.
Excitement mounts as the festival reveals its first headlining acts for 2024. On Saturday, June 1, the award-winning folk duo Ye Vagabonds will grace the main stage with their full band performance. Sunday June 2 will see Bell X1 deliver a phenomenal show to an exclusive audience of just 600 people.
With tickets expected to sell out quickly due to the festival’s intimate size, organisers urge eager fans to secure their passes as soon as possible.
“We’re thrilled to bring When Next We Meet back to audiences this year,” says Kate Twohig, festival co-director.
STUNNING SETTING
“After two successful years, we’re confident in making slight changes for 2024. Our goal isn’t to go ‘bigger and better’—it’s about preserving the cosy, relaxed atmosphere that attendees love while offering an unforgettable line-up of acts in the stunning setting of Raheen House,” said Kate.
With only two headlining acts announced so far, anticipation builds for further line-up revelations ahead of the June bank holiday weekend. Known for its knack for showcasing emerging Irish talent, the festival has a history of programming artists on the brink of national recognition, which can be expected again for 2024.
Local original artists have also been a cornerstone of When Next We Meet’s line-up since its inception. Festival organisers, who are local artists themselves, established the event to address a gap in year-round original music programming. After two years of showcasing acoustic acts on a smaller stage, plans are in place for a larger second stage to accommodate full bands, allowing local artists to present their music authentically.
