The popular Talbot Hotel in Clonmel said goodbye to one of their staff in a heartfelt post yesterday, explaining that they are Germany-bound.
The hotel, located just off the Cahir Rd roundabout, shared a post on their Facebook about the departure, saying: "Yesterday, we bid a fond farewell to Joseph Golden from our Food & Beverage Department".
"Joseph leaves us to go travelling to Germany for the next chapter in his career. Thank you, Joseph, for all your hard work. We wish you all the very best in your future career."
Joseph was also given a cake for the occasion, with "auf wiedersehen" aptly written across the plate.
Coworkers, friends and former residents of the Clonmel hotel left comments wishing Joseph well on his trip, with one saying it was "great to see an establishment that appreciates their workers".
