New works debuting at this years Clonmel Junction Arts Festival include a new composition from the highly talented Eamon O’Malley.
"24:09 is a musical tone poem inspired by one of the greatest feats in Irish sporting history – Sean Kelly’s legendary time trial in the inaugural Nissan Classic Cycling Race 40 years ago this year,” says Eamon.

“Scored for piano and electronics, the piece also draws on the sound worlds of 1980s electronic pioneers and it will be accompanied by a specially commissioned video by John O’Dwyer, creating a powerful audiovisual homage to a moment of exceptional talent and national pride," said Eamon.
Not to be missed, you can catch Eamon’s concert ‘24:09’ on Saturday, 5th July at 7pm, and also on Sunday, 13th July at 1pm in STAC Chapel.

Eamon was announced recently in Killarney as an AIMS winner.
He was awarded the special adjudicator prize for "Stepping into the breach and maintain poise and professionalism" He stepped in at the last minute to be the Musical Director of University of Limerick Musical Society production of “Seussical” and he was honoured with the special adjudicators award at their annual ceremony in Killarney last month.
