Funding for restoration of historic Tipperary buildings is welcomed

Dan Breen House in Tipperary Town is to be renovated and used for education and training needs

Cllr Annemarie Ryan has welcomed funding for the renovation of historic buildings in Tipperary Town.
It will see the restoration of Tipperary Courthouse/Bridewell and Dan Breen House so that the buildings can be used for training and education needs.
"Very good news for Tipperary Town . We've worked very hard to get these projects to where they are today and I am thrilled to have played a part in getting these over the line. We were unsuccessful in the RRDF funding 2 years ago but through perseverance and hard work it's paid off this time.
The overall project cost is €9,970,000 with grant funding of €7,980,000 allocated from the RRDF and Tipperary County Council will provide match funding of €1,990,000 in recognition of its ongoing commitment to the rejuvenation of Tipperary Town.
Thanks to everyone who played key roles progressing these two significant projects, especially Michael Begley, Tipp Town Revitalisation and Tipp Coco who have worked hard to deliver these key projects for the town," said Cllr Annemarie Ryan.
