Tipperary hurling fans have been roasted on a popular GAA fan forum online in the wake of their underwhelming Munster Hurling campaign.

The Premier finished rock bottom of the group stage of the Championship after three defeats and a draw in that phase of the competition. They shipped heavy defeats to Cork and Limerick, drew with Waterford and lost out in a tight battle with Clare to end their summer early.

Limerick and Clare advanced to compete in the Munster Final last Sunday with Limerick picking up their sixth title in a row. One GAA banter page on Facebook took the opportunity to throw a bit of shade at Tipperary fans with the final between their two rivals taking place at Semple Stadium.

The Gaelic Craic page which has 300,000 followers, posted a question: "Was just wondering what do Tipp supporters do on Munster final weekend??"

The post garnered a lot of attention with fans from other counties taking the opportunity to take a swipe at Tipperary hurling.

One fan suggested they "rent out their driveways" with reference to the game being in Thurles, while another suggested they go into the business of "hats, flags and headbands."

Some Tipperary fans couldn't resist a retort with one fan suggesting we "count how many we have won," adding, "it takes all day."

Another added: "Tipperary have won two Munster finals already this year at Minor and U20 level. We have to give other teams a chance to win also. Tipp have 42 Munster titles also."
