Padraic Maher found himself under the Laochra Gael hot seat on Thursday evening as the hit GAA docuseries returned to screens.
Now its 22nd season, there was a fitting start with six-time All-Star Padraic Maher front and centre and there was a terrific reaction online to the story the Thurles Sarsfields man told. See the best below.
Possibly the greatest Laochra Gael ever.

Great to see another past pupil, Pádraic Maher, featured in the latest series of Laochra Gael. From the time Paudie was in Scoil Ailbhe playing in the yard league and starring for Dúrlas Óg, people started to take notice of his hurling talents. pic.twitter.com/fsJx3AHZvR

It was a very enjoyable programme.Padraic is so grounded and modest. What glorious days we had, brilliant victories and superb hurling. Padraic was a colossus of hurling. Brendan Maher, Ronan and Seamus Kennedy all great input.
