Andrew Ormond, who was man of the match when Tipperary beat Waterford in last Sunday's Munster Senior Hurling Championship game, has praised the Tipperary fans for the great support they gave the team.
He said, “When the supporters get behind you it gives you such a big lift. It nearly fills your legs with more energy to hear the ‘Tipp, Tipp’ chant and the genuine supporters out there are just so good to us.

"We got three, four, five points in front, and then the goal came and you can hear them every step of the way, and fair dues to everyone who came, it’s just super having them there”.

"I’m delighted with the win, and it was a super team performance. The subs that came on, Oisin (O'Donoghue's) goal, Seanie (Kenneally) getting on ball, Seamus Kennedy, Noel McGrath’s point, it was a super team effort".
Although he has had to bide his time to get his opportunity in the team, the JK Brackens player says he’s old enough and wise enough to know that it mightn’t happen like that every day.
"I suppose I’ve got lucky in the last two games (he scored 1-2 against Clare), I’ve great lads around me. Darragh (McCarthy) popped two balls to me, Jason (Forde) as well, and last week balls were popped out to me. Lads are working so hard and on another day it could be me popping balls out and other lads getting scores.
"It’s a team effort and I’m just delighted to be part of it.
"We’re delighted to be playing these crunch championship matches and to be part of occasions like this. It’s why we do all the training, hopefully we can stay going long into the summer, please God".
