Four women charged in relation to shoplifting of large quantity of clothes from Clonmel store

Four women arrested in Clonmel last Saturday in connection with the theft of more than €2,000 worth of clothing from a town centre store, were subsequently charged and will appear before a court in a few weeks time. 

The women, aged in their 20s and 30s, were arrested in Clonmel shortly after 31 pieces of clothing were shoplifted from a store on Clonmel's O'Connell Street. It's understood they had travelled from the Limerick area to Clonmel that day.

A Clonmel Garda Station spokesperson said the women were charged after being interviewed by gardaí and will appear before an upcoming sitting of Clonmel District Court.
