"It will be great to see the site redeveloped and provide much-needed housing to members of our community,” says Cllr Siobhán Ambrose
Tipperary County Council has entered into an agreement with the developer to purchase the housing development for local authority housing once it has been completed on the former Eircom site on Thomas Street, Clonmel, says Cllr Siobhán Ambrose.
“When constructed this housing development will provide 61 local authority housing units consisting of one, two and three-bedroom accommodation,” she stated.
“This site has been derelict for many years and it will be great to see it redeveloped and providing much-needed housing to members of our community,” Cllr Ambrose added.
The news of the new social houses has also been welcomed by Deputy Jackie Cahill, who says “Increasing supply is key to improving the housing market and this positive news will provide much-needed homes to people in Tipperary”.
