Property crime incidents are down 11% in the Premier County

Property crime is down 11% in the past three months, according to figures presented at a recent sitting of the Tipperary Joint Policing Committee.

According to Chief Superintendent Colm O’Sullivan, there was no change in the numbers for Thurles or Nenagh.
Property crime includes all robbery, burglary and theft.

Non-aggravated burglary was down 32%, with residential burglary down 41% and non-residential up 7%

In Nenagh, non-aggravated burglary was down 56% and 52% in Thurles.

The Chief Superintendent did say he was concerned about thefts of catalytic converters.

He advised motorists to park their cars in such a way that the underneath is not easily accessible, such as against a wall.
