New Garda superintendent appointed to Clonmel Garda District

An Garda Síochána have appointed a new superintendent over Clonmel Garda District to replace Supt. Willie Leahy, who has retired. 

Supt. Kieran Ruane was officially appointed to his new position as superintendent of the Garda district that includes Carrick-on-Suir, Fethard, Mullinahone as well as Clonmel town on Monday.

He was was one 10 senior officers either promoted to the rank of superintendent or existing superintendents transferred to a new posting in the latest round of An Garda Síochána appointments.
