Over two hundred delegates attend national planning conference in Clonmel

Delegates at the Irish Planning Institute will be brought on a guided walking tour of Clonmel today (Friday April 21)

Over 200 delegates from the public and private sector are attending the Irish Planning Institute annual planning conference at Hotel Minella in Clonmel.

The planning conference opened on Thursday and continues today, (Friday 21 April).

The keynote address will be given this morning by Deputy Kieran O'Donnell, Minister of State at the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage with special responsibility for Local Government and Planning.

This afternoon the delegates will be brought on a bus tour in Cashel and also on a guided walking tour in Clonmel headed by Kieran Ladden,senior executive engineer with Tipperary County Council. The walk will include a visit to the Kickham Barracks public realm project, Suir Island and the new town plaza.
