Visiting suspended at two wards in Tipperary University Hospital due to Covid-19 cases

Tipperary University Hospital (TippUH) Management wishes to advise the public that the hospital is currently experiencing an increase in Covid-19 patients and has declared an outbreak within the hospital with two medical wards currently affected.

 

All wisiting to Medical 2A and Medical 2B is suspended from today Wednesday, May 3, until further notice.   

 

The following exception will be facilitated:

 

  • End Of Life Patients – arrangements to be made with the Clinical Nurse managers
  • Critically ill patient – arrangements to be made with the Clinical Nurse managers

Hospital Management regret the distress or inconvenience such restrictions cause for patients and their loved ones. However these actions are necessary given the increased circulation of Covid -19 within the hospital. The hospital outbreak management team is currently monitoring the situation daily.
