A motorist was caught outside Thurles yesterday doing a massive speed on the M8 while under the influence of drugs.
Tipperary Roads Policing Unit carried out a speed enforcement checkpoint and detected the vehicle in question travelling at 147km/h on the M8 near Thurles.
The driver was stopped and subsequently arrested on suspicion of drug driving after failing a DrugWipe test for Cocaine and Cannabis.
